FRUIT-FLY CULTURE: Fruit-Flies are the perfect size and an excellent food source for dart frogs and many other small amphibians, reptiles, and invertebrates. Our super-high quality 32oz fruit-fly cultures are the best. Each fruit-fly culture is created using our developed media recipe to ensure each will produce quickly, create huge numbers, and last a long while. Genetically bred at low temperatures to develop wings which are reduced in size and do not fully function. These smaller sized flies are extremely prolific and produce huge numbers of offspring.

FEEDING: We recommend feeding fruit-flies as part of a varied diet, as with any live food, variety is the key to providing a well-balanced, nutritious diet. The addition of calcium and vitamins is recommended to enhance nutritional content of these flies. We recommend dusting these flies with Rapashy brand calcium. TYPES OF FLIES: D. Melanogaster produces quickly and in large numbers. D. Hydei flies are larger, more bold, and produce slower & in smaller numbers. We also offer fruit-fly culture kits to make your own high quality fruit-fly cultures. We suggest newer hobbyists start with the more forgiving D. melanogaster species, since they reproduce faster than their larger D. Hydei relatives.

STORAGE: Store culture between 70-80 degrees.

LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY: Fruit-fly cultures do not ship well as the flies can get coated in the moist media and die in transit. Our cultures are available for pick-up only/ Herriman, Utah.
