LOCATION: Lowland tropical rainforests of Western Colombia.

HABITAT: Moist, lowland and submontane rainforests. Temperature: 65-80 degrees. Humidity: 70%-100%

BREEDING: Remarkable parental care. Females lay eggs on land, and after they hatch, the female transports individual tadpoles to small pools of water, such as those found in bromeliad plants

CHARACTERISTICS: Brown, gray, or silvery metallic background and blotches of red, orange, and mustard yellow.
